Celebrating the French National Day, also known as Bastille Da

To celebrate the French National Day, also known as Bastille Day, which signifies the onset of the French Revolution and represents values like liberty, equality, and fraternity, the Indian Museum, Kolkata illuminated it’s building with the iconic colors of France: blue, white, and red on July 14, 2023.

This gesture aims to highlight and foster the bilateral partnership between India and France, promoting cultural and historical ties between the two nations where the Honorable Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi Ji was welcomed as the Chief Guest of Honour along with 240 men in uniform of the Indian Armed forces to mark this historic occasion in France. Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi Ji was also presented with the Grand Cross of the Legion of Honor by President Emmanuel Macron.
