Celebration of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”

Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is an initiative of the Government of India to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of independence and the glorious history of its people, culture and achievements. As culture is the lifeblood of a vibrant society, expressed in the many ways we tell our stories, celebrate, remember the past, entertain ourselves, and imagine the future. Keeping that in mind Smt. Dona Ganguly   and her team (Diksha Manjari) performed ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ at the ABC auditorium of the Indian Museum, Kolkata on August 14, 2022 on the momentous occasion of the 75th year of India’s Independence under the aegis of the ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ and ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’. The audiences were moved by the exquisite performance and it gave a delightful ending to the evening.

Soulful Silence

Indian Museum, Kolkata reserved Mondays for children with special needs. It is an attempt of the museum to be more inclusive. As special children are extremely sensitive and feel helpless to exposure to crowds and noise, therefore, India Museum has taken this initiative.

Cultural Performance on “Shakti Rupena”

Smt. Dona Ganguly and her team Diksha Manjari performed ‘Shakti Rupena’ at the Asutosh Birth Centenary auditorium of Indian Museum, Kolkata with students, children, youth, sex-workers and transgender on the momentous occasion of the International Museum Day 2022.

Seminar on ‘Recent Researches on Harappan Culture’

Indian Museum, Kolkata organised a Seminar on ‘Recent Researches on Harappan Culture’ at the Indian Museum. It was a unique gathering of students, scholars, researchers, professors, and ex-servicemen, who were mesmerized by the insightful talks of the speakers. The academic session concluded with the distribution of the certificates to all the participants.

Exhibition on “Convergence: A Panorama of Photography’s French Connections in India”

Indian Museum, Kolkata in collaboration with the French Embassy in India, French Institute in India, Alliance Française India and the Alkazi Foundation for the Arts organised an exhibition on “Convergence: A Panorama of Photography’s French Connections in India”, to commemorate the monumental occasion of India’s 75th year of Independence (Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav).
