DRINKING WATER | RO-filtered drinking water facilities are provided in the ground-floor corridor of the Indian Museum building which is located juxtapositioned between the corridor and the public convenience building.

DIFFERENTLY - ABLED VISITORS
| For Differently-abled Visitors: (1) Wheelchairs are available. (2) A lift facility is available here. (3) Ramps at appropriate places. (4) Specialized Restrooms are available for Differently-abled Visitors
For Visually Impaired Visitors: (1) A description of the Bharhut Gallery is available in Braille. (2) 3D models of several paintings in the Painting Gallery have been installed along with their descriptions in Braille. (3) Further work is going on to introduce descriptions of all galleries in Braille

CAFETERIA
| Located at the backside of the main museum building, the cafeteria of the Indian Museum is open for visitors from 12.00 Noon – 3 PM.

CLOAK ROOM
| Cloakroom is available for visitors.
|
LIBRARY
| Located near the Coin Gallery, the Indian Museum library houses a vast collection of fifty thousand books and journals along with many rare and unique publications. Books and Journals are available on Museology, Archaeology, Anthropology, Art, Botany, Zoology, Geology, etc.
Library Membership Fees: A fee of ₹ 50/- (Rupees fifty only) per year is to be paid as the Library Membership fee.
Library Hours: The Library remains open from 10.00 AM to 5.00 PM on Week Days except for Saturdays and Sundays, and on Public Holidays.

MUSEUM SHOP
| The Museum Shop is open for the sale of Books and Indian Museum publications consisting of Bulletins, Catalogues, Art Albums, and Picture Postcards, along with Replicas of rare artefacts and photographs.

RESTROOMS
| The restroom is available for visitors.

GUIDE SERVICE
| Free Guide Service is available at the Museum. For any query contact Information Desk.

ASUTOSH BIRTH CENTENARY HALL AND AUDITORIUM
| Temporary Exhibition, Special Lectures, Seminars, Workshops, Cultural programs are held at ABC Hall and Auditorium. It is also available on rent.

FACILITIES FOR SCHOOL
| School Students get a partial concession on their entry (with each ticket costing ₹ 20/- for the students). Schools can give prior information about their visit through an email to the Director or the Education Officer of the Museum and bring a letter from their school citing the concession for the entry of students and get permission from the Museum authorities on their day of visit.

GALLERY STATUS
| Galleries open for the Visitors – Bharhut, Gandhara, Coin, Long Archaeology, Human Evolution, Rocks and Minerals, Terracotta and Minor Arts, Invertebrate Fossils, Painting, Egypt, Bird, Reptile& Fish, Textile and Decorative Art, Mammal, Industrial Botany and Insects.
Certain Galleries are under renovation and close to visitors.
